Pacific Wood, Lumber and Flume Company Records

Abstract

The Pacific Wood, Lumber and Flume Company was incorporated in January 1875 for the purpose of cutting timber and manufacturing lumber as well as developing flumes in northern Nevada. The collection contains records of operation, including titles of real estate and water rights, correspondence between trustees, a time book, account ledgers, articles of incorporation, and agreements with other companies.

Palace Club Records

Abstract The Palace Club was one of the first clubs to offer gaming after the State of Nevada legalized it in 1931. Giovanni (John) Petricciani purchased the Club in 1927; the family owned the Club until 1979 when they sold it to Harrah's Casino. Collection contains administrative, financial, and gaming materials related to the running of the Palace Club. Pamlico Mining Company Records

Abstract

The Pamlico Mine was located in the Pamlico Mining District, situated in the western Garfield Hills, ten miles southeast of Hawthorne, Nevada. The Pamlico Mining Company operated from Hawthorne, Nevada with John Forbes as president, H. M. Yerington, treasurer, and S. A. Knopp, mine superintendent. The district yielded nearly a million dollars-worth of gold between 1885 and 1900. Collection contains correspondence, financial statements and accounts.
