Henry Curtis Morris was a mining engineer in Nevada and the west from about 1900-1915, employed by the United States Bureau of Mines in Washington, D.C., and author of two books of reminiscences about his mining career: Desert Gold and Total Prospecting (1955) and The Mining West at the Turn of the Century (1962).
