Miriam Evans Richardson Papers
Miriam Evans Richardson was born in West Liberty, Iowa in 1892 to Mell Wright and Frank Algernon Evans. Her mother, Mell, was the daughter of William Wright, better known as Dan De Quille: most well-known for his book The Big Bonanza (1876) about the famous Comstock Lode in Nevada. The collection contains photographs, clippings, and books about the Richardson family.

William Wright (also known as Dan De Quille, 1829-1898) was a Nevada journalist who came to the west coast of the United States from Iowa and Ohio in 1859. The collection includes Wright's notebook, family photographs, and Nevada-related publications collected by Wright.
