United States Food Administration Posters
Established by Executive Order 2679-A of August 19, 1917, pursuant to the Food and Fuel Control (Lever) Act and abolished by Executive Order 3320 of August 21, 1920, this World War I agency directed programs to control civilian food production and consumption. The collection contains three propaganda posters designed to encourage Americans to eat less wheat and more of other grains so that more wheat products would be available for soldiers.
