Overview On January 29, 1897, Nevada Governor Reinhold Sadler signed a bill making "glove contest" prizefights legal in Nevada. Collection contains one letter written by Al Livingston to the Bullion and Exchange Bank, Carson City on May 10, 1902 stating that Livingston has given Harry Corbett, brother of former heavyweight champion Jim Corbett, a check for $1,000 for a glove contest to take place in Nevada in July 1902.
