William Stanage Wilson, a biography, including a diary of the 1852 Oregon trail

Abstract Dallas Woodrow Wilson is the grandson of William Stanage Wilson who was a wheat farmer in Or., mined for gold in the Boise Basin of Idaho, and mined silver near Battle Mountain, Nevada. Included is a copy of the trail diary of William Stanage Wilson, biographical information from family and historical sources for periods before and after 1852, and the author's story of how he located family members and information for this unpublished manuscript (1997).

Woman's Relief Corps records

Abstract The Phil Kearny Corps was a Virginia City, Nevada branch of Woman's Relief Corps, organized August 3, 1895. This women's auxiliary to the Grand Army of the Republic provided relief to veterans of the Civil War and their families; and raised funds for child welfare assistance, disaster relief, and a home for elderly members of W.R.C. Collection contains minute book with summary of the unit's activities and finances. Also included is a list of officers and convention ribbon badges.
