The Affirmative Action Compliance Committee was formed at the request of Harry J. Wolf, Director of Affirmative Action, to develop compliance procedures, data gathering and analysis. The collection consists of general correspondence and memorandums, 1972-1975; committee minutes, 1975; an undated statistical chart listing total staff race, salary, and position; and affirmative action program guidelines and policies.

Abstract

The Affirmative Action Office is responsible for coordinating all compliance efforts, for investigating complaints, and for receiving grievances from students, faculty, and staff in matters dealing with discrimination. The collection consists of annual university affirmative action plans, correspondence, compliance and institutional analysis reports, committee records, and miscellaneous materials related to activities of the office.

Scope and Contents

The Commission on the Status of Women Records consist of Affirmative Action material, correspondence, membership rosters, minutes, federal guidelines, an Intercollegiate Athletic Programs for Women position paper about Title IX, and other reports.
