Agricultural Club Records

Overview The Agricultural Club, better known as the "Aggies" or the Aggie Club, was organized in 1909, and included the agricultural faculty, and students in agriculture and home economics. The collection contains records that cover the club's activities, 1924-1959, in the form of scrapbooks and minutes, as well as the organization's constitution, a dance announcement sign, and a wolf caricature drawing.

Thomas E. Buckman Papers

Overview Thomas E. Buckman (1895-1977) graduated from the University of Nevada in 1921, and was a charter member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He served as Lyon county extension agent, 1921-1922, and Washoe county extension agent, 1923-1925, before joining the University of Nevada extension division as associate professor in 1925. He retired in 1955 as assistant director. The collection includes information on Alpha Tau Omega (ATO) fraternity and the Nevada Extension Service.

Abstract Cecil Willis Creel became director of Agricultural Extension for the University in 1921, and except for 1942, in an unsuccessful bid for the U.S. Senate, he continued to hold this position until his retirement in 1952.
