The Nevada chapter of Alpha Zeta, an honorary student agricultural fraternity, was established at the University of Nevada, Reno, on April 27, 1963. Scrapbook includes chapter guidebooks, photographs, news clippings, constitution and by-laws.

Abstract Dr. John O. Moseley (1893-1955) was appointed president of the University of Nevada in 1945, and served in that capacity until he resigned in 1949. Abstract Sigma Gamma Epsilon, an honorary mining engineering fraternity, was founded at the University of Kansas in 1914, and the University of Nevada Pi Chapter was founded December 19, 1924, after being originally established in 1923 as Kappa Zeta. J. Claude Jones, professor in the Mackay School of Mines, was active in both the local and national fraternity, serving as grand vice-president of the western province. Organized at the University of Nevada as Links and Shield in 1921, the fraternity was installed as the Theta Chapter of Sigma Phi Sigma in 1922.
