Abstract Campaign for Choice was organized in Reno, Nevada in August 1989 to ensure passage of Question 7 on the November 6, 1990 ballot. In essence, Question 7 affirmed an existing Nevada statute (NRS 442.250 based on Roe vs. Wade) and prohibited its modification or repeal except by a direct vote of the people. The Committee to Aid Abused Women (CAAW) was organized in Reno, Nevada, by Joni Kaiser in 1977. CAAW, now the Domestic Violence Resource Center, is a non-profit corporation dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence. It serves the Reno-Sparks area of northern Nevada. Included are minutes of board meetings, annual reports, newsletters, and extensive clippings related to domestic violence and the Committee to Aid Abused Women (1972-1996).
