Silver Peak (Nev.) Letter
Silver Peak, Nevada was a small mining town originally settled during the territorial period and located in Esmeralda County at the foothills of the Silver Peak Range. The collection contains a one-page letter written by T. I. Barnes to "Friend William" regarding the mining and milling operation in Silver Peak on June 14, 1865.
Slavin-Reed Family Papers
The Slavin-Reed Family papers include genealogical notes, oral histories, and other documents about the 19th and 20th century history of the Slavin and Reed families and those families connected by marriage. The bulk of the collection appears to have passed through the hands of Lucille Slavin Clark, and builds on the recorded memories of her grandmother, Maude Rose Hanley Reed Bruno (1882-1965).

Letter from Stone House, Nevada
Stone House, Nevada was an unincorporated community in Humboldt County, Nevada, serving as a stop on the Overland Stage, and, later, as a stop for the Southern Pacific Railroad. A post office was briefly located there from 1890-1915. The collection contains one letter written by P.V.S. to Minnie from Stone House, Nelson Ranch in Humboldt County, Nevada.
Maude Sawin Taylor Papers
Maude Sawin Taylor (1889-1974) was a teacher, organizer, civic leader, and author. The collection includes correspondence to and from Taylor, her husband Chester C. Taylor, Ruth Torkelson, and James Edward Church; newspaper clippings, photographs, awards, and notes; and correspondence, financial records and newsletters of some twenty civic organizations and the First Baptist Church of Reno, Nevada.
Correspondence about Snowshoe Thompson
John "Snowshoe" Thompson (1827-1876) was born in Tinn, Telemark, Norway to Torstein Olson-Rue and Gro Jonsdatter Einungbrekke. After the death of his father, John and his mother, Gro, immigrated to the United States, where John eventually settled in Genoa, Nevada in the Sierra Nevada foothills. The collection contains letters written by Agnes Scossa, Laurence D'Orsay, and Rees Davis to Francis Fairchild regarding John "Snowshoe" Thompson and his life.
Robin Walz Correspondence with Russell T. Barnhart
The Robin Walz Correspondence with Russell T. Barnhart contains outgoing and incoming correspondence between Walz and Barnhart concerning his translation of Eugene Villiod's "Memoires de Villiod" from French to English, and Barnhart's knowledge about Villiod. The collection also includes a photocopy of Walz's paper he presented at the 1998 annual meeting of the Western Society for French History.
