Public hearing, Nevada highway construction project on proposed design of a portion of ring road
The Nevada Department of Transportation is responsible for state-funded road projects in Nevada. Transcript of a hearing concerning a proposed ring road in southeast Reno, Nevada, which eventually became McCarran Boulevard. Topics included engineering features, tentative construction schedule, impacts of the project, and right of way requirements. Comments and questions from the audience were also included. Material from August 21, 1969.

Herman Familly Papers on Rancho San Rafael
Brothers Raphael and Norman Herman immigrated from Germany and eventually purchased a ranch in Reno, Nevada in 1935. The ranch, named Rancho San Rafael after Raphael, was eventually sold to Washoe County to be used as a regional park. The collection, dated 1943-1981, primarily documents the sale of the ranch to Washoe County and contains a deed, correspondence, photographs, and newspaper clippings related to the ranch.
