Abstract
Paul S. Adamian was a professor of English who joined the University of Nevada faculty as a lecturer in 1966, became an assistant professor in 1968, and was granted tenure in the 1969/70 school year. The collection includes general correspondence, copies of legal records, ephemera, and newspaper clippings, 1970-1979, and materials regarding his teaching appointment at Southern Oregon College prior to becoming faculty at the University of Nevada, 1965-1966.

Abstract
In 1982, the University went through a series of crises. Due to the state's poor economy the University was asked to cut expenditures, and a controversial Comprehensive Program Review (CPR) was implemented. In October 1982, Chancellor Robert Bersi submitted to the faculty a proposed revised University of Nevada System code which included mandatory psychiatric examinations on demand, granted the Regents the power to make sudden and arbitrary changes in the code, shifted power in personnel...
