Walter E. Clark was born in Ohio and served as the 5th president of the University of Nevada from 1918-1938. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University and Columbia, and was known for scholarly research in economics and business. Abstract
The Wolf Pack's first mascot was an anthropomorphized wolf named Wolfie, who retired in 1999. His nephew, Alphie, took over the duties of cheering in 1999.
