Abstract

Mildred Breedlove was appointed Nevada poet laureate in 1957 and 1959 and was active in the Las Vegas Branch of National Pen Women. She organized the Nevada State Poetry Society in 1961. Included are correspondence, Breedlove's published and unpublished poetry, clippings, awards, certificates, photographs, scrapbook of published poems, and portrait painted in oils. Material between 1945-2000.

Abstract The First Baptist Church of Reno was established in Reno, Nevada in 1875 as a spin-off of an earlier congregation in Virginia City, Nevada. It was governed by a Board of Trustees; a number of societies and circles were organized for women, youth, and men. Reverand C. L. This collection consists of materials documenting Janet MacEachern's political, legislative, and volunteer activities. Through organizations she was active with, these papers document Nevada's legislative processes and the state's growth and development.
