Overview Imogene Evelyn Young (Jean) Ford (1929-1998) served in the Nevada State Assembly (1972-19760 and in the Nevada State Senate from Clark County, District 3 (1977-1982). Overview The collection consists primarily of materials created and/or used by Ford during her years as Nevada state legislator and during the operation of her businesses. Additional materials include personal papers, and course materials from her role as instructor in the Women’s Studies Program at UNR. A series which was added in 1996 contains materials about the many organizations and committees she has been involved with in her professional career.

Overview The Nevada Women's History Project' mission is to "Collect and disseminate information about Nevada women of every race, class and ethnic background." It was founded by Jean Ford in 1993-1994. The collection contains executive meeting minutes, events information, correspondence, and other miscellaneous information created by the organization from the 1990s.
Abstract Included is a letter from Ruth Glick to Jean Ford about the first organizational meeting of the Reno Women's Network, a survey form intended to provide direction to the organization, and a newsletter from June 1981.

Overview On January 16, 1997, under the auspices of the Nevada Women's History Project, twenty five women who attended the University during World War II and immediately after, 1939-1950, met and recalled the impact of the war on school and on their lives. The collection contains a video recording of the women speaking about her personal experiences, including dating, classes, rationing, housing, and war-related activities.
