The Alpine County, California County Clerk was the county official responsible for voter registration The conllections consists of a register of county residents registered to vote. Information given includes name, age, height, complexion, eye and hair color, distinguishing marks, place of birth, local address, where naturalized, and date of registration.
Records of the Alta Silver Mining Company
Weekly reports for the Alta and the Benton Consolidated Mining Company by Superintendent E.D. Boyle (father of the Nevada governor) include distance drilled, total length of drift, and number of men employed, 1880-1889.,Also included is an Alta stock certificate purchased by G. E. Arrowsmith, trustee, 1924 and four lists of officers (1881, 1887, 1892, 1918).
J. Cecil Alter Snow Survey Correspondence and Articles
J. Cecil Alter was a meteorologist with the U. S. Weather Bureau based out of Salt Lake City, Utah in the early 1900s. Collection contains three sets of correspondence to Alter from James E. Church, J. L. Ford, and H. L. Stoner in 1926 regarding his article on rate of snow melting, data regarding snow melt in the early summer, and copies of three articles on the rate of snow melt.

The University of Nevada Alumni Association was organized in 1894 to work for the advancement of the University, to encourage and support the interests of the students...and also that "old times may not be forgot." The first president of the Alumni Association was Frank H. Norcross. One bound volume containing the original constitution and bylaws of the Alumni Association, as well as the earliest minutes, June 1894 to October 1926.

The University of Nevada Alumni Association was organized in 1894/95 and encourages the relationship between the university and its alumni to promote the welfare of the institution. The Association's activities include regional chapters, support for student activities, and alumni continuing education. The collection includes minutes and correspondence of the Alumni Council and Executive Committee, various alumni committees, homecoming programs and reunions.
American Association for the Advancement of Science Program
Program for annual meeting includes description of Reno attractions, list of officers, and schedule of speakers. The collection contains materials from 1927 created by the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
American Association of University Professors, University of Nevada, Reno Chapter Records
The American Association of University Professors (AAUP) was established in 1915, to advance the ideals and standards of the academic profession. Collection contains minutes, membership rosters, announcements, resolutions, news clippings, committee reports, and national AAUP chapter letters. Earliest record is a 1947 salary study, with records primarily 1955-1970s.
