William Seth Bliss Survey Book
William Seth Bliss (1865-1941) was born in Gold Hill, Nevada to Elizabeth and Duane Bliss. In 1888, he graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and, after, returned to Nevada to work in the family business. The collection contains one book survey book owned by William Seth Bliss containing information about land grades, likely for railroads.

Isaac E. James was a Nevada surveyor. Collection contains surveys and sketch maps of property, claims, and water ditches in northwest Nevada, with authorship attributed to either Isaac E. James or L.F.J. Wrinkle. Included are the Nevada State Penitentiary, Nella Ranch, Gregory claim, Merrimac Mill, Hopkins Race Track, Ash Mill, Dr. Joseph Ellis' Hospital, Carson Agricultural Association (with a listing of members) and others (1863-1865).
