Abstract The El Dorado Wood and Flume Company was incorporated in Nevada in 1875 with H. M. Yerington, J. W. Haynie and A. J. Ralston as trustees; H. M. Yerington was the president when the company incorporated. Its major areas of operation were in Lake Valley, El Dorado County, California and in Hope Valley, Alpine County, and California. Pacific Gas & Electric and Sierra Pacific Power Company (now NV Energy) are the companies who provide eltrical service to California and Nevada, respectively. The collection contains a survey made on behalf of Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) by W. W. Clark to determine extent of the business and residents in part of El Dorado County who were not receiving electric power from PG&E or Sierra Pacific Power Company.
