The Nevada state constitution in 1864 placed emphasis on the mechanic arts and mining, and instruction was directed toward these disciplines as mining engineering. The College of Engineering Engineer's Day and Commencement Speakers collection consists of six lp albums, one audiocassette, and one audio disk of the March 1941 Engineering Day program and the May 12, 1941 commencement. Dr. Milton D. Glick was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on July 30, 1937. He obtained his doctorate degree in chemistry at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and married Peggy Porter in 1965.
