Abstract Included are materials collected in a study of acupuncture in Nevada, including the minutes of the State Board of Chinese Medicine, correspondence, notes, bibliography, newspaper clippings, and articles. Other materials in the collection include newspaper clippings about Native American Indians in the Reno vicinity, at Pyramid Lake, and in other parts of Nevada; and water rights over Pyramid Lake.
Abstract Contains grant funded research materials on alcoholism of urban Nevada female Indians and publications presented about the findings. Also research materials collected for the biography of Frederick West Lander, explorer and soldier who led or participated in five transcontinental surveys for transportation routes (1853-1860).
