Janet MacEachern Papers
This collection consists of materials documenting Janet MacEachern's political, legislative, and volunteer activities. Through organizations she was active with, these papers document Nevada's legislative processes and the state's growth and development. Issues covered include reapportionment, nuclear waste sites, tax restructuring, water and land use, health planning, legislative reform, the ERA, and other Nevada political issues between 1965 and 1994.
Mackay School of Mines Records
The School of Mines was originally founded in 1888 as part of the requirements of the Morrill Land Act of 1862. Over the years it has grown to encompass other aspects of earth science and is currently named the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering. The collection contains materials related to the administration of the school; publications and press relases by the school; department, program, and building information; and student activities and groups.
Nevada Artists' Association Records
The Nevada Artists' Association was incorporated in 1950 in Carson City, Nevada, with the purpose of raising the standards of art for the viewing public through juried art shows. The collection includes minutes; agendas, treasurers' reports; newsletters; membership rolls and applications; programs and lists of participants in art shows; newspaper clippings about events; and report, programs, and announcements.
