Founded in 1878 by Walter Scott Hobart and General S. H. Marlette on the east shore of Lake Tahoe, the Sierra Nevada Wood and Lumber Company provided lumber to the mines of Virginia City and Gold Hill, Nevada. Collection contains an expense ledger, a revenue check, paystubs, and daily log reports.
