Citizens' Committee for Public Schools was group of citizens in Reno, Nevada who organized in October 1953 to find solutions to local school problems of overcrowding and lack of funding. The collection contains materials related to the organization of the group, meeting minutes, a public survey, research statistics, and some financial materials from 1947-1960.
The conference, "The Crisis in Values: Its Meaning for Higher Education in the 1980's" was a series of lectures and symposia held in April 1980, to stimulate discussion and to re-examine the role of higher education in society, and specifically in Nevada society, at the beginning of the 1980s.
