Overview Citizens' Committee for Public Schools was group of citizens in Reno, Nevada who organized in October 1953 to find solutions to local school problems of overcrowding and lack of funding. The collection contains materials related to the organization of the group, meeting minutes, a public survey, research statistics, and some financial materials from 1947-1960.

Abstract The conference, "The Crisis in Values: Its Meaning for Higher Education in the 1980's" was a series of lectures and symposia held in April 1980, to stimulate discussion and to re-examine the role of higher education in society, and specifically in Nevada society, at the beginning of the 1980's. This collection contains general correspondence, brochures, the grant proposal, final report of the conference, and 12 audiocassettes of the speakers and panel discussions.
Overview Materials cover John Ensign's career as a U.S. Senator from Nevada from 2001 until his resignation on May 3, 2011. Files are only from his Washington D.C. office, with the bulk coming from Ensign's first term during the 107th to 109th congresses (2001-2006). The collection include correspondence, speeches, schedules, legislative work on bills and hearings, news clips, reports, and some audio/visual records. A few photographs and memorabilia are also included.
