Abstract Much of the records relate to public land livestock grazing issues, 1970s-1980s, involving the Bureau of Land Management and Environmental Impact Statements, including the MX Missile System.
Scope and Contents Scanned BLM and Forest Service reports, correspondence, and other publications during the 25 year time period of the work of the Nevada Wild Horse Commission, which was dissolved in 2010. Funding for the Commission came from the estate of Leo Heil in 1974. Included also are the papers of one of the Commissioners, Dawn Lappin, many of which predate the work of the Commission as Lappin also worked with WHOA, Inc., and wild horse advocate Velma Johnson.
