Abstract Manuscript maps and drawings document land and water rights acquired, owned, developed, controlled, and sold by the Bliss family on the north and east shores of Lake Tahoe, California, and Nevada, including Bijou, Glenbrook, Tahoe City, Spooner Summit, and the Truckee River from Tahoe City to Truckee.
Overview Robert G. Harmon was the grandson of J. E. and Edith Jewell and the nephew of Laura Brown. Collection contains materials collected by Robert Harmon about Lake Tahoe including Jewell Heights ephemera, an 1892 boat travel description of Lake Tahoe written by Laura Brown, an invitation from Kings Castle, and an advertisement for Mark Twain Camps.
Abstract Included is LTAC background and historical information, bylaws, meeting minutes, membership files, correspondence, press releases, plans for and research on Lake Tahoe, environmental files, legislation related to Lake Tahoe, financial accounts, and maps.
